PRAYER

Heavenly Father,
As we prepare to celebrate Halloween and All Saints’ Day, we thank You for the joy, laughter, and creativity this season brings. Help us to remember that light always shines brighter than darkness, and that Your love surrounds us wherever we go.
Bless our children with safety, kindness, and joy as they celebrate with family and friends. May they be inspired by the saints who came before us—examples of courage, compassion, and faith.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • CSCC Halloween Howl-Family Dance - Oct. 30th

  • Halloween, All Saints & All Souls in Our Catholic Schools
    • As we approach Halloween and the Feasts of All Saints and All Souls, we recognize this time as both joyful and meaningful in our Catholic tradition. Halloween, or All Hallows’ Eve, is rooted in the celebration of All Saints’ Day—a time to remember and give thanks for the saints and all those who have gone before us in faith.
    • At school, we aim to balance the fun of costumes and festivities with the deeper spiritual significance of the season. We also remind families that costumes should be respectful and appropriate for a school environment.
    • As we celebrate, let us keep in our prayers all those we love, both living and deceased, and give thanks for the blessings of community, joy, and faith.
    • If you have any questions or would like more information about how we are observing these days at school, please contact the school office.
  • Halloween Reminders - Students are invited to dress up for Halloween in the afternoon on October 31.  This may include a costume or dressing in black and orange.  Below are the costume guidelines:
    • Culturally sensitive, safe and appropriate for a Catholic school setting.
    • No fake weapons, knives, hockey sticks are to be part of the costume.
    • Costumes should not emphasize violence - weapons or blood and gore.
    • Costumes are to follow our dress code policy in regards to length of dress, shorts and tops.
    • Capes and masks will be left in the classroom for recess due to safety
    • Students will not be allowed to use the washrooms to dress up in costumes or put on make-up. Please ensure that your child is able to safely dress in their costume and that they are already wearing their make-up when they come to school.

    • Please be reminded that there is no school on Monday, October 27th. The staff of St. Theresa School will be participating in a spiritual retreat.

  • United Way Campaign – All That Kids Can Be

  • Safety Reminder - The safety of our students and families is always our top priority. We kindly ask that parents and care providers do not cross the street to or from the church parking lot, especially during pick-up/drop-off times. This is a very busy part of the day, and it can be difficult for drivers to see people walking out from in front of or behind school buses. For everyone’s safety—and to set a positive example for our students—please use the designated crosswalk. Thank you for helping us keep our school community safe.
  • Extra Curricular Updates -
    • The girls volleyball team participated in a tournament hosted at St. Marguerite school this past weekend. SUCCESS & SERVICE

  • Gr. 7-8 Take Me Outside Day
    • The Gr. 7-8 students expanded their learning space to the outdoors on a beautiful autumn day last week. We are so blessed to have such lovely community spaces just outside our front doors where we can gain understanding that learning doesn't only happen inside the four wall of our classrooms.

  • Earn Your STRIPES at St. Theresa School!

Each week, St. Theresa School recognizes students who have “Earned Their STRIPES” by demonstrating the positive character traits that make our school community strong.
Teachers select one student from their class who has shown exceptional Service, Teamwork, Responsibility, Inclusivity, Positivity, Effort, or Safety throughout the week.

These students are celebrated for being positive role models and for living out the values that make St. Theresa a caring and respectful school community. Congratulations to our past week’s STRIPES recipients!
